Salisbury, MD – August 7, 2020 –The Salvation Army – Lower Eastern Shore is registering children for its annual Angel Tree program which provides new clothing and toys for children from low-income families. The program is for children ages birth to 14 years old. To register, the following documents are needed: valid email address, proof of address, current photo identification for applicant, proof of birthdate for all children being registered, proof of household income. Each family is screened to verify their needs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, registration will be done “contactless” through phone appointments and email.

Once a child has been registered as an “Angel,” The Salvation Army makes a promise to provide Christmas for that child. The “Angels” are placed around town for generous individuals, companies, churches, and other organizations to purchase gifts. Through Angel Tree, thousands of local children will find gifts waiting under their Christmas trees.
