Salisbury, MD – The Salvation Army Salisbury, serving Lower Eastern Shore, is proud to celebrate National Salvation Army Week, May 12–18, 2025. The week is dedicated to honoring the work and ministry of The Salvation Army, which has faithfully served the community since its founding. Each year, this special week offers an opportunity to recognize and celebrate donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters who make the mission of The Salvation Army possible.
In 1954, the United States Congress declared National Salvation Army Week, with President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaiming it as a time to honor the dedication and service of The Salvation Army. Today, the organization operates in 134 countries, with a mission to ‘Love Beyond’—beyond hunger, homelessness, disasters, and more.
To commemorate this week locally, The Salvation Army Lower Eastern Shore invites the public to its 2nd Annual National Salvation Army Week Community Day Celebration on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 407 Oak Street, Salisbury, MD.
