Contributions this Christmas will help serve 17,000 local individuals and families in need all year!
During this holiday season, The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps is ramping up efforts to support those most in need. This year, The Salvation Army seeks to raise $118,000 to meet the growing demand for essential services in the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Every year, The Salvation Army of provides 27,197 meals, 1400 kids and senior with Christmas gift, 430 kids a safe space in sports and after school programs, and 349 days of service to others. The holiday season can be especially difficult for many, and donations are crucial to ensuring that no one is left behind during this time of year. “The holiday season brings unique challenges for many in our community, but it also brings out the generosity of those who can help,” said Lieutenant Shawn Simmons “Every donation, no matter the size, is a step toward lifting someone out of hardship. Your support helps bring hope and stability to those who need it most — not just during Christmas but also throughout the entire year.” Donations also help provide year-round aid such as rent, utility, and housing assistance for individuals facing financial hardship. In the Lower Eastern Shore, The Salvation Army also offers two youth clubs, sports programs, character building, a thrift store, and spiritual care.
