The Salvation Army Re-Opening Senior Center

Salisbury, MD- June 23, 2020 – The Salvation Army, Lower Eastern Shore is re-opening the Senior Club Resource Center beginning Wednesday, July 1, 2020, with modified summer hours.

The Senior Club enriches the lives of senior members through a variety of programming in the areas of health, education and recreational services. Seniors partake in daily exercise, pickle ball, local field trips, guest speakers, crafts and weekly games and activities, in addition to comradery amongst peers.

Captain Matt Trantham stated “Socializing can help seniors develop a social network by making and meeting new friends, while hopefully giving their family a sense of peace knowing their family member is being active and relaxing in a safe environment”.

The opening day will consist of a welcome back bar-b-que and some fun summer games. Summer hours of operation are each Friday 7:30am to Noon. Membership is available to those over 55 years of age for $50 per year. If you are interested in joining or want to see what a day is like, give us a call for a complimentary tour.
