Salisbury, MD – Ahead of Mother’s Day, celebrate mothers with the City of Salisbury’s Arts, Business and Culture Department and Salisbury Poet Laureate Nancy Mitchell at the May Poets’ Corner event.
Poets’ Corner, a free event hosted by Mitchell, is set for Thursday, May 9, from 6-8 p.m. outdoors at Unity Square. Unity Square is located by the intersection of South Division Street and Circle Avenue in Downtown Salisbury.
The guest poet for this month’s event is Sharnell Tull, also known as “Sista Big.” There will also be open-mic poetry with the theme of “Celebrating Mothers,” and attendees can bring their own poems or prose to read or other poems/prose they would like to share, with attribution.
