SALISBURY – TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is pleased to announce that John Hamilton, MD, has been named its 2024 Physician of the Year, and Georgia Kousoulis, PA-C, has been named its 2024 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) of the Year.
Dr. Hamilton was selected for his dedication, selflessness, professionalism, and strong ethical and moral standards. As the chief of anesthesiology, he leads the team from the frontline. He works hard, takes challenges positively, and shows fairness and equitability to his fellow physicians and other team members. He is always professional whether it is resolving conflicts among team members, negotiating staffing, or allocating resources to meet the needs of the hospital and community. He plays a pivotal role in keeping things together and getting things done smoothly and quietly.
Kousoulis, a physician assistant in the neurology department, was selected for her compassionate care and hard work. She is loved by patients and their families and is frequently praised for her bedside manner and positive attitude. Nurses on 5 Layfield and 2 Layfield love working with her. She puts her heart into everything she does and keeps the neurology team running smoothly.
