TidalHealth Peninsula Regional honors the following four team members as 1st Quarter 2026 Team Members of the Quarter:

Administrative & Support Services: Kristopher Chandler, EVS

Kristopher Chandler is an environmental services (EVS) aide at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Chandler has been a valued member of the EVS team for nearly 10 years and has approached every room with the same level of care and attention since his first day.

A recent interaction with a fellow team member highlighted Chandler’s commitment to his work. After noticing “KING KRIS” displayed on his EVS cart, the team member jokingly asked how he earned the title. Chandler smiled and replied, “Well I guess it is because I clean the rooms like one of my family will be the next person going in that room.”

His response left a lasting impression on the nominator, who shared that it “filled my heart” and reflected the mindset they hope every team member brings to their role. They also wrote, “ALL roles in the system are essential, and I have always lifted up EVS personnel as ESSENTIAL.”

Chandler was praised for his positive attitude, ownership of his role and unwavering work ethic. Whether cleaning a patient room or another area of the hospital, he consistently maintains the highest standards, treating every space with the same care he would want for his own family.

Professional Services: Deseree Hutson, TidalHealth Pediatric Development &Therapy

Deseree Hutson is a therapist with TidalHealth Pediatric Development & Therapy.

Hutson is known for her dedication to providing the highest quality care for every child and family she serves. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her patients receive the most effective services while working collaboratively with colleagues across the clinic.

According to her nomination, Hutson is always willing to share her knowledge, teach others and support her teammates. Her coworkers praised her for advocating for her clients, stepping in to assist with clinic responsibilities whenever needed and fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can succeed.

One team member shared, “Thank you for always being willing to do everything in your power to provide the most effective services. You collaborate with all of our team members, teach us something new daily, advocate for your clients and support clinic tasks whenever needed. We all appreciate you and your constant support.”

Nursing Services: Brandi Spedden, Surgical Services

Brandi Spedden is a member of the Surgical Services team at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Spedden is recognized for her dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to patient care. As a trusted member of the operating room team, she works closely with surgeons, anticipates their needs, and helps ensure each procedure runs smoothly while keeping patient safety and comfort at the center of everything she does.

Coworkers praise Spedden for her calm presence, positive attitude and willingness to help wherever she is needed. Her surgeons frequently request her by name, reflecting the confidence and respect she has earned through her skill, reliability and collaborative approach.

Her nominator shared that Spedden’s “work ethic, compassion, professionalism, and team-oriented approach” make her highly deserving of recognition and noted that she “represents the very best of Surgical Services.”

Nursing Services: Angel Dietrich, Same Day Surgery

Angel Dietrich is a certified nursing assistant in Same Day Surgery at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Dietrich is recognized for the compassionate care and unwavering support she provides to both patients and her fellow team members. She consistently anticipates the needs of patients and nurses, helping create a smooth, supportive environment throughout each shift.

According to her nomination, Dietrich’s positive attitude and respectful approach help create a calming and reassuring experience for everyone she encounters. She is known for stepping in wherever she is needed, including coming in early to help cover staffing needs, demonstrating exceptional dedication, reliability and teamwork.

A coworker shared, “Angel is an amazing CNA who consistently provides extraordinary care. She anticipates the needs of both patients and nurses, ensuring that everyone feels supported and cared for throughout the shift.” They added that Dietrich’s “compassion, work ethic, and willingness to step in wherever needed is truly appreciated.”
