Dr. Steven E. Leonard, president/CEO of TidalHealth, will address the 2021 Wor-Wic Community College graduates at commencement on Wednesday, May 12, at 7 p.m., at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.
Leonard has been with TidalHealth Peninsula Regional since 2003 and assumed his current role in January of 2018.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in management and finance from Florida Atlantic University, a master of business administration from Salisbury University and a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Leonard is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a previous recipient of its Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award for his contributions to healthcare excellence in the state of Maryland. He has also been honored by the Tri-County District Boy Scouts of America with the organization’s Distinguished Citizen Award. He has served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for three years and is a past Certified Six Sigma Black Belt by the American Society for Quality. In 2017, he was appointed to the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) Council on Financial Policy, of which he is the current chairman. He is also a member of the MHA Executive Committee.
