TidalHealth’s STAR Memory Walk honors local families impacted by pregnancy and infant loss

Tidal Health

SALISBURY – On Tuesday, Oct. 15, TidalHealth Peninsula Regional’s Special Treasures Are Remembered (STAR) program hosted its annual Memory Walk in observance of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. This event allows local families an opportunity to honor the memory of babies who left too soon.

The mission of the STAR program is to serve the needs of parents and families who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or infant death. With help from the community, the program provides families with personalized keepsakes that they can cherish forever, and support through various resources and annual events including the Memory Walk and a Candlelight Memorial Service in December.

The STAR program thanks everyone who has donated online and purchased items from its Amazon wishlist during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
