TONIGHT – Mid Atlantic Amateur Sports Alliance & United States Specialty Sports Association Presentation

Salisbury, MD – The Mid Atlantic Amateur Sports Alliance (MAASA) and the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) will host a presentation on Wednesday, April 26 at the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. USSSA will recognize MAASA for its tenure in hosting the USSSA Eastern Nationals for the last sixteen years and share their intent to return for the next three years.

Representatives from MAASA, USSSA East Coast Events and USSSA’s national office will give remarks.

The USSSA Eastern Nationals returns July 11-29, 2023. The three-week event brings over 350 girls softball teams together in competition. Since its inception in 2007, the event has drawn over 4,200 teams to the shore, generating an estimated economic impact of over $200 Million.

The MAASA mission is to link and leverage the combined assets of Ocean City, Wicomico County and Worcester County to attract, retain and build sports marketing events with a focus on amateur athletics to establish a national reputation and grow the region’s economic impact.
