Top teams, top players and the best experience in high school hoops can be found at the annual Governors Challenge high school basketball tournament Dec. 26-30.

“Our showcase division is loaded with future NBA players and college stars, as well as the number one team in the country, Prolific Prep,” said tournament director, James Simmons. “On the varsity division and Shore Showcase side, we’re packing in lots of skilled players and intense local matchups.”

With over 130 high school basketball teams from sixteen states and Canada, there will be a lot of basketball to watch at the Wicomico Civic Center and surrounding area.

Tournament organizers expect the event to sell out daily. “We’re moving to a two session per day model,” said Simmons. “That change, paired with capacity adjustments, means tickets will sell out. Spectators should plan to buy their tickets early – not at the door.”
