SNOW HILL, MD – The Town of Snow Hill held their general election in-person on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
On the ballot were the offices of Mayor and Eastern District Council. Running for Mayor were two candidates: Rob Hall and Mike Pruitt. Running for Eastern District Council were two candidates: Dave Burt and Janet Simpson.
The Snow Hill Board of Elections announced unofficial results at the close of polls: For Mayor: Mike Pruitt is the unofficial winner receiving 214 votes to Rob Hall’s 93 votes. Janet Simpson is the unofficial winner receiving 73 votes to Dave Burt’s 31 votes.
Per the charter, the official results will be determined May 25th, 2022 when the Snow Hill Board of Elections will meet and count all absentee ballots received that were postmarked by or before May 3, 2022 as well as vetted and approved provisional ballots.
All offices will be sworn in at the Town’s June 14th regular meeting, and will then begin their two-year terms.
