Local restaurant, Cactus Taverna, recently introduced weekly “United Way Wednesdays”, a weekly fundraiser benefitting United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore.

Every Wednesday from 4pm-10pm, a portion of food and drink sales will be donated to United Way in support of 80 critical programs serving Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Dorchester Counties in the areas of Health, Education and Financial Stability. “United Way Wednesdays” will feature live piano music by Phil Perdue, and Cactus Taverna’s signature menu of unique dishes and drinks in a relaxed yet upscale environment.

Considered by some to be a “hidden gem” of Salisbury, Cactus Taverna holds the standing of Salisbury’s longest-operating restaurant. Located on North Salisbury Boulevard in the Lotus Plaza, the locally-owned establishment serves Mediterranean Cuisine with a menu to please the whole family.

Restaurant owner Imad Abu-Ahmadeh shared, “Cactus Taverna takes great pride in giving back to our community and we are thrilled to partner with the local United Way to do just that. This initiative will help fund programs that make a real difference for thousands of neighbors in need.”
