SALISBURY, MD – Emmy -winning journalist Mike Walter was a witness to the September 11, 2001, attack on the Pentagon and reported on the event and its aftermath.
He shares his account as Salisbury University hosts “Remembering the 9/11 Attack on the Pentagon” 7 p.m. Monday, September 13, in Conway Hall Room 153.
Walter is the producer of Breaking News, Breaking Down, exploring the trauma journalists suffer from covering devastating events. The film won Best Documentary Short at the 2010 Cannes Independent Film Festival.
Sponsored by SU’s Society of Professional Journalists chapter and Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE), his presentation is free and the public is invited.
All attendees at SU events are required to wear a mask while in the audience, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
