The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce was delighted to join Visiting Angels of the Eastern Shore’s franchise owner Cindy Christensen and her staff on September 26, 2023, as they celebrate their 10th anniversary with an open house and ribbon-cutting celebration in their headquarters office in Salisbury, MD.
Guests were welcomed by Cindy Christensen, who started this business back in 2013 with her daughter Brooke, and who was thrilled to share that they now serve all eight counties in the Eastern Shore of Maryland, have grown to 120 employees, and have three offices in Berlin, Easton, and Salisbury. A very emotional Christensen shared, “Everyone that works at Visiting Angels is a friend who has become family, and when family surrounds you, you can accomplish anything. Our caregivers are the best in the world. We know that when you need help, you will call us because you know that we are all family. For ten years, especially through COVID, our caregivers have been brave and keep caring for our patients when they most needed it.”
Christensen took advantage of this event to recognize Karinda Williams and Capricia Stafford, who also celebrated their 10th anniversary of working at Visiting Angels.
Attendees at the ribbon cutting learned about Alzheimer’s simulation and the caregiver development program and were able to visit the skills lab. They also enjoyed appetizers and beverages and provided their business cards for a chance to win beautiful seasonal baskets.
Visiting Angels is a non-medical home health care provider covering all eight counties of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. They specialize in Alzheimer’s and dementia care and are credited with the Veterans Administration for caring for vets through their HHA program. They aim to keep clients at home and independent for as long as possible.
