The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to co-host an unforgettable Business After Hours event with Visiting Angels on September 11, 2025, at their warm and welcoming headquarters in Salisbury, MD.
The evening embraced a festive tailgating theme, bringing together local professionals, caregivers, and staff for a celebration of connection, compassion, and care. From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by Journey Smith, Director of Business Development, whose energy, and hospitality set the tone for a lively and engaging evening. Attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with delicious food, spirited conversation, and a shared commitment to community wellness.
Journey Smith shared insights into Visiting Angels’ mission: “Visiting Angels is a non-medical home care provider. Our caregivers help clients with daily living so they can remain independent at home for as long as possible. We specialize in senior care and Alzheimer’s support, but we serve anyone 18 and older. Whether experienced or new to caregiving, we train our team on-site to ensure quality care.” With over 180 employees caring for more than 140 clients, Visiting Angels serves all eight counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore from offices in Salisbury, Berlin, and Easton.
One of the night’s most memorable moments was when guests had the opportunity to paint the last tiles (paint by numbers) for a mural that will be proudly displayed at the upcoming Alzheimer’s Walk, symbolizing unity and hope.
Guests indulged in a mouthwatering spread from Dinner Express Catering, featuring sliders, bratwurst, and other game-day favorites. Refreshments flowed with beer, wine, and spiked seltzers, keeping spirits high throughout the evening. Tailgating-themed door prizes added excitement, and congratulations go to Tim Dickson of Dickson Physical Therapy, winner of the 50/50 raffle benefiting the SACC – Wor-Wic Endowment!
