The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2026 Coastal Delaware Community Clean Up on Saturday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to noon. In partnership with Keep Delaware Beautiful, groups and individuals alike are invited to celebrate the week of Earth Day by adopting and cleaning a section of roadway in the Quiet Resorts area.
Those interested in participating the Coastal Delaware Community Clean Up can sign up at thequietresorts.com until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15. Volunteers have the option to choose from four targeted clean up locations, serve wherever help is needed, or pick their own area. Regardless of cleaning location, volunteers must check in at their assigned Hub location.
The Inland Bays Garden Center will serve as the central hub location where registered volunteers will check in, receive clean-up supplies, and discard collected trash. Any walk-up registrations are welcome before 11 a.m. All pre-registered volunteers will receive check-in details and location information the week of the event.
The 2025 clean up saw over 40 volunteers collect 800 pounds of trash despite unfavorable weather.
