What’s Ahead For Rotary District 7630

The Rotary Club of Salisbury welcomes to its Thursday, December 12 meeting the current and future two District 7630 Governors (DG) for a look at the goals of today and tomorrow for Rotary in the district.

Bill Ferguson, the current DG will be joined by the new two men to immediately follow him; Dr. Steve Capelli and Hugh Dawkins.  Ferguson’s term as DG ends June 30, 2020 when Capelli’s begins.  When his stint as District Governor closes on June 30, 2021, Dawkins assumes the role.

The three will relay their thoughts on the outlook of Rotary International (RI), throughout the world, then address how the aims and purposes of RI impact the United States, what changes may be within the specific area of District 7630 and then how the individual clubs through Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland may be affected. Fellow Rotarians and the public are invited to attend.

Annually, The Rotary Club of Salisbury channels nearly $90,000 back into our community through the support of agencies and causes including: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, scholarships for local high school and college students, Fruitland Fire Department, Christian Shelter, Wicomico County third grade dictionaries, RYLA, Easter Seals Camp Fairlee, MAC, Inc., Meals on Wheels, Parsons Home, Polio Eradication (Global), Fruitland Community Center, HALO, Wicomico County Library, The Salvation Army, Mission of Mercy, the construction of wheel chair ramps and much more.
