The Sept. 14 monthly Board of Education meeting is scheduled to reconvene as a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20 in the Wicomico High School Auditorium on Glen Avenue in Salisbury. The Board will reconvene at that time and immediately begin the public portion of the meeting.
This reconvened meeting will be held in a large venue to allow the public and staff to attend while observing physical distancing restrictions and other health and safety guidelines. In keeping with Maryland’s statewide mask requirement for all Maryland Public School facilities, every attendee age 2 and older will be required to wear a mask for admittance at the door, and must continue to wear a mask throughout their time in the school building. Those who refuse to abide by this state requirement will not be allowed to attend the meeting.
Anyone wishing to speak during the Public Comments portion of the meeting must fill out a public comment form, which will be available at a table outside the entry door. The filled-out form must be turned in to the school system staff member at the table prior to the start of the meeting. Members of the public who have signed up to speak during Public Comments may do so in 3-minute time allotments, as monitored by staff.
The meeting will also be livestreamed on the school system’s YouTube channel (WicomicoSchools) for viewing. The Board meeting will also air later on PAC 14.
