Salisbury, MD —The Wicomico County Commission for Women is accepting nominations for its annual Women of Wicomico Awards. These awards aim to celebrate and
honor the extraordinary contributions of women who have made a lasting impact on our community.
In anticipation of Women’s History Month in March, the Commission is proud to shine a spotlight on the women of Wicomico who have gone above and beyond in their service and advocacy.
“This is an opportunity for us to highlight the women in our community who have gone above and beyond,” says Megan Outten, Chair of the Commission. “We encourage anyone in our
community to nominate residents working to keep our communities moving forward.” This year’s Women of Wicomico Awards will be held in collaboration with Célébrez La Femme’s
Empowerment Summit on March 22nd at Salisbury University. A partnership that aligns with both organizations’ commitments to celebrate and empower women. “I couldn’t be more excited about our collaboration with the Wicomico County Commission for Women,” says Ashlee Laughlin, Founder & President of Celebrez La Femme. “This partnership is
a beautiful reminder of the magic that happens when women come together with purpose. Making space for the awards within our summit is a no brainer – we are honored to have such
accomplished women in our circle.”
The Commission will be accepting nominations until March 5, 2025. Several awardees will be selected and recognized publicly throughout Women’s History Month as well as at Célébrez La
Femme’s Empowerment Summit. All nominees must work or reside in Wicomico County. For more information about the nomination process and event details, please contact Megan
