Salisbury, MD – Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather M. Lankford as the Acting Director of the Department of Public Works.
Ms. Lankford earned her Bachelor ’sDegree in 2007 in Civil Engineer with a Structural Concentration and Mathematics Minor from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnston in Pennsylvania.
Ms. Lankford moved here shortly after graduation to work for the Private side of engineering and design for nearly 10 years. During this time, she was an active participant in STEM, ACE Mentoring, Program Advisory Committee for CADD for CTE, and several other volunteer positions. Prior to joining the County, she was a Project Engineer for the City of Salisbury.
Ms. Lankford volunteers for her church ORBC as an online host. She lives in Salisbury with her amazing son who is her pride and joy.
