
Salisbury, MD — The Wicomico County Fair returns to WinterPlace Park in Salisbury this Friday-Sunday, Aug. 14-16.
The event is produced by Wicomico Farm & Home Show and Wicomico County, and it is presented by Perdue, Toyota, Piedmont, Baths by Spicer Bros., IBEW and Carter Machinery.
This year’s event celebrates 90 years of Fair traditions.
“The Fair serves to showcase the importance of agriculture on the shore in a family-friendly atmosphere,” said Zach Evans, chairman of the Wicomico County Fair. “We are honored to be celebrating our 90th anniversary, and grateful to the community for continuing to support the event.”
Returning fair events include the Maryland High School Rodeo; mounted shooters; 4-H and FFA competitions; livestock shows; watermelon, pie and hot wing eating contests; petting farm; duck races; car shows; music; vendors; and fireworks on Friday.
Exciting new additions include the return of amusement rides and music from Jimmy Charles on Friday evening.
