New, free event takes place Saturday, Oct. 26
SALISBURY, Md. – Bring the spooky spirit to Pemberton Park on Saturday, Oct. 26 and enjoy Batty Bonfire.
This new, free, family-friendly event features a costume contest, smores, bonfires and live music.
“We wanted to create a Halloween event that is relaxed, fun and free,” says Catie Hamel, recreation program specialist. “There is something for everyone and we are excited to see our community show off their costumes!”
Costumes are encouraged and event goers will be able to register on-site for a costume contest. Categories for the contest are Best Group, Best Solo, Most Creative, Best Homemade, and Funniest. All costumes must be family-friendly. Crafts for kids will be available as well.
Live music will be provided by The Folk Villains. Vendors at this event will include Grass Roots Rescue and Belle Grove Tea Co.
Food vendors include Le Daisey’s Smokehouse and Eastern Shore Kettle Korn. Smores will be available to make on-site. Hot chocolate will also be provided.
Batty Bonfire will be from 5-8 P.M. and is sponsored by Froggy 99.9 and Q105. Dogs are prohibited at this event.
