September 20, 2021 – Wicomico Goes Purple, whose purpose is to start conversations around the dangers of substance misuse and support those on their journeys through addiction, sponsors “A Night of Hope” Friday, September 30, at 6 p.m. at the Salisbury Riverwalk Amphitheater.
The program will include music, prayer and scripture read by clergy from throughout the county. Testimonials from those whose lives have been impacted by addiction will be shared that evening and the Night of Hope will conclude with a candlelight vigil. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit resource tables of local area agencies that offer prevention, treatment and recovery support. In the case of inclement weather, “A Night of Hope” will move to St Peter’s Episcopal Church, 115 St. Peter’s St. (off the Downtown Plaza).
