Salisbury, MD – On Friday, May 17, Wicomico Habitat held two separate home blessing ceremonies in celebration of its 89th and 90th partner families. The first home blessing celebrated the Clervil Family, and the second celebrated the Cooper Family.
HFHWC staff, board members, and community members gathered at both homes to meet and bless the new homeowners.
“My home blessing was so beautiful. It was a very emotional day, all happy tears,” Ms. Cooper said. “I am truly blessed.”
HFHWC would like to thank Pastor Ruben Ariste and Pastor Martin Hutchinson for their opening and closing prayers, Council Woman Michele Gregory and Council Woman Sharon Dashiell for their remarks, and Farah Yahya for presenting gifts. A special thanks to the Delmar Knitters Group, Friends of the Library, HFHWC ReStore, Rosa Rivera, Andrea Weeg of Bay Street Blooms, Al Chandler of Dinner Express Catering, and Joe Bean of the Grocery Outlet for their donations to the families.
