More than 140 students from Wicomico, Somerset and Dorchester counties competed at the recent 2020 Lower Eastern Shore History Day competition held at Salisbury University. History Day projects this year addressed the theme of “Breaking Barriers in History.”
Congratulations to all the hardworking student historians and the teachers who supported them at the local level leading up to and during the Feb. 29 competition. These students or teams placed 1st or 2nd in the local competition and will now advance to the Maryland History Day State Contest on May 2. The state contest will be held at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
