Wiersberg Warriors Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization started in 2022 in memory of Fruitland Officer First Class Spencer Wiersberg.
Spencer passed away on 1-12-2020 from Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare childhood cancer. Spencer lived a life of service. Spencer started volunteering at a young age, often helping out at his grandparents church & other community events.
At McDaniel College, where he played football, Spencer was a founding member of his chapter of SAE, where he served as the first Health & Safety Officer. Spencer frequently served as the designed driver at their social events, to ensure his brothers got home safely. He majored in sociology with a concentration in criminal justice. Spencer graduated a semester early and started the police academy in Jan 2019.
Following in his dad’s footsteps by becoming a law enforcement officer was a dream come true for Spencer. While his career and life were cut short, nonetheless Spencer left a lasting impact on the world that his family is humbled to continue in his memory.
