The Wilmington Convention Center Embassy Suites Hotel in North Carolina held its ceremonial groundbreaking in February to mark the beginning of construction anticipated to be complete in spring 2017. The 8-story riverfront Embassy Suites Hotel will have 186-rooms and amenities will include a riverfront restaurant, banquet/meeting space, indoor pool, fitness center, business center, two story atrium and lobby lounge. Becker Morgan Group’s Ernest Olds, AIA, Principal, attended the ceremony, as well as Mayor Bill Saffo of Wilmington, City leaders, New Hanover County Commissioners, Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, Wilmington and Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau, the developer/operator and principals of Harmony Hospitality.
