Wor-Wic Holds 16th Annual Golf Tournament

Wor-Wic Community College recently held its 16th annual golf tournament at the college’s Ocean Resorts Golf Club in Berlin. Proceeds from the tournament totaling more than $30,000 will be used to benefit the college’s on-campus child development center.
This year’s top team for low gross score was the Aflac team of Brian Shockley, Dale Cropper, Kyle Bounds and John Hollway, followed by the Avery Hall #2 team of Cam Jackson, Brent Miller, Curt Berstler and Tonney Insley. Third place went to the Xenith Bank team of Adam James, Charlie Marshall, Bob Bloxom and Jeremy Meyer.
The top team with the lowest net score was the Hebron Savings Bank team of Henry Tilman, Harry Gemmell, Evan Smith and Trent Pusey, followed by the Mullaney Insurance team of Tom and Cammy Tyson, and Dennis and Lou Jones. Third place in net score went to the Rinnier Development team of Bill Rinnier, Dr. Ray Hoy, Dr. Pete Reddish and Dr. Phil Insley.
Longest drive winners were Lou Jones and Tony Pierson. Winner of the putting contest was John Kwiatkowski. Closest to the pin prizes were awarded to Adam James, Chris Mancini, Eric Catellier and John Holloway.
