
Wor-Wic Community College recently held its 24th annual golf tournament at the college’s Ocean Resorts Golf Club in Berlin. The tournament raised more than $67,000 and will support the educational needs of Wor-Wic students.
This year’s top team with the lowest gross score was the Burke & Herbert Bank team of Rob Forosisky, Joe Franz, Eddie Moore and Trent Pusey, followed by the Bank of Ocean City team of Hank Fisher, Jason Parker and Brandon Tolan. Third place went to the Delmarva Power team of Marcus Beal, John Petito, Renee Sheehy and George Vogelsang.
The top team with the lowest net score was the Charles Brown Glass team of David Brown, Kevin Brown, Tim Perunko and Evan Perunko. The second-place team was Value Carpet One, with Buddy Adams, Chris Adams, Mitchell Adams and Tom Wingate. The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce team of Cindy Chambers, Bill Chambers, Linda Davis and Ralph Davis won third.
Longest drive winners were Dick Kemp and Hali Leeson. The winner of the putting contest was Averill Anderson, who got a hole in one. Closest to the pin prizes were awarded to Andy Holloway, Bryan Mercer, Scott Phillips and Brian Richards.
