
Wor-Wic Community College recently honored four employees with Excellence in Service Awards. The awards recognized those who have gone above and beyond to support students and the college’s mission, foster a sense of camaraderie and positivity, contribute innovative ideas and play an active role in Wor-Wic’s success.
Winners were:
- Lindsay Bowen, academic advisor
- Hope Ellis, administrative associate II, learning services
- Will Preneta, facilities manager
- Donna L. Yackley, criminal justice analyst
Each winner received a trophy and a cash award funded by the Wor-Wic Foundation. Nominees were also recognized for their contributions at the event, including:
- Katie Abreu, director of financial aid
- Mika Beck, administrative associate I, business and hospitality management
- Carlie Chilton, dean’s associate, health professions
- Cesar Colon, building attendant
- Jane Custer, administrative associate I, mathematics and science
- Jill Gordon, business support services coordinator
- Dr. Stacey J. Hall, dean of STEM
- Bethany A. Larmore, accounts payable specialist
- Carol A. Menzel, director of institutional research
- Dr. Amanda Messatzzia, dean of enrollment management
- Traci Smith, administrative associate I, student services
- Kristin Williams, financial aid compliance coordinator
Also honored at the ceremony were previously announced winners of the Faculty Excellence Award, Juley Harper, associate professor of English, and Dr. Tiffany Kotra-Loos, clinical coordinator and associate professor in the physical therapist assistant program, as well as nominees:
- Dr. Sheila Blosveren, professor of transitional English and director of transitional education
- Dr. Tracie Brady, associate professor of business
- Dr. Lynn Franks, assistant professor of English
- Dr. Berrin Kilicarslan, associate professor of mathematics
- Dr. David Mongor-Lizarrabengoa, associate professor of Spanish
