The continuing education division of Wor-Wic Community College will offer a “3D Modeling and Printing Fundamentals” class on two Mondays, Sept. 28 and Oct. 5, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., in the makerspace at the Patricia and Alan Guerrieri Technology Center at the college.
The course covers the principles of 3D design, from computer modeling to the final product. Participants can get started with Tinkercad by learning its basics, creating a design, testing and modifying their creations. In the lab, they will use UltiMaker Cura to fine-tune models and obtain the best slicing results, then manufacture a prototype of their design on the UltiMaker 3D printer.
To register for the course, visit www.worwic.edu and look for the non-credit “Computers and Technology” courses section under “Programs and Courses.”
