Salisbury, MD — Women Supporting Women proudly introduces their newest Events Coordinator, Shakeera Reid.

In her role, Shakeera will support the planning and execution of events that further the organization’s mission of providing education, support, and resources to individuals, families, and caregivers impacted by breast cancer. She will work closely with staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to create meaningful experiences that foster awareness, inspire connection, and strengthen community engagement.

Shakeera brings a passion for organization, relationship-building, and community involvement, along with a creative mindset and a people-first approach to Women Supporting Women. Her interest in joining the organization is deeply personal, as she has witnessed firsthand the impact breast cancer can have on someone’s life. This experience has strengthened her commitment to supporting those who have been affected by the disease and contributing to a mission that makes a difference in the community. She is excited to help develop events that not only raise critical funds but also create lasting impact and treasured memories for those served by Women Supporting Women.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Shakeera enjoys connecting with others, exploring creative projects, and using storytelling as a way to inspire and engage communities. She is honored to be part of a local, grassroots organization dedicated to supporting Survivors and looks forward to contributing to its continued growth and success.

WSW welcomes Shakeera and cannot wait to see the impact she makes in the organization and on Delmarva. Please stop by the WSW Office to meet her!
