WSW is excited to introduce our newest intern, Aliyah Frolich, who will be joining us for the completion of her fall semester at Salisbury University.

Aliyah was born in Salisbury, Maryland and currently resides in Salisbury, while pursuing a degree in Health Sciences and Sociology at Salisbury University. Aliyah chose this academic path because of a deep interest in the people-centered side of health—not just how human bodies respond biologically, but how health impacts lives, communities, and families.

“I love learning from people and hearing their unique stories and perspectives,” Aliyah shares.

“Health is so much more than medicine or treatment, it’s about lived experiences, resilience, and the connections we build when facing challenges like cancer.”

This perspective is grounded in personal experience. Having seen the impacts of cancer within her family, Aliyah understands firsthand the many layers of the cancer journey—from treatment, to resources, clinical trials, setbacks, and triumphs.

This experience has also shaped a passion for cancer research, health advocacy, and public policy, which she plans to study in graduate school—particularly around making sure patients, families, and caregivers all receive the support they need.

Through this internship, Aliyah looks forward to contributing to Women Supporting Women’s mission, connecting with survivors and supporters, and learning more about how advocacy, education, and community can make a meaningful difference.

WSW welcomes Aliyah as their intern for the Fall 2025 semester!
Please call or stop by the office to meet her.
