Salisbury, MD — Women Supporting Women has received over $6,000 in donations after the successful Zumba event held by Pure Family Fitness, “Pure Goes Pink – Move for the Cure”. On October 14, 2024, Zumba Instructor, Joyce Landsman, held her event at the Pure Family Fitness located in West Ocean City. The second annual Pure Goes Pink event was a huge success with 98 registrations. Joyce collected more than 25 amazing excursions, trips, gift cards, certificates, and items to raffle off at the event. In addition to this, there was a variety of food, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and goodie bags for attendees to enjoy. With a multitude of guest instructors, it took no time for the building to be filled with loud music, bright pink lights and Zumba instructors leading all the attendees in a fun-filled, dance-focused workout.
Pure Family Fitness always graciously donates 100% of the proceeds from the Pure Goes Pink – Move for the Cure event along with proceeds from Pure Goes Pink T-shirts at all their facilities. With the increase in registrations and attendees compared to the first Pure Goes Pink event in 2023, the amount of funds raised from this year’s event increased as well. On Wednesday, December 11th, WSW Staff were presented with a check worth $6,500 from Pure Family Fitness.

After the success of 2023’s Pure Goes Pink event, both Pure Family Fitness and Joyce were eager to bring it back, and attendees were eager to participate and join in the fun. The organization also thanks all the registrants and attendees for supporting WSW. It truly is the support of the Delmarva community and local businesses like Pure Family Fitness that keep WSW’s doors open and allows all those affected by breast cancer to receive the essential awareness, education, and support they provide.
