Young Entrepreneurs Academy: CEO Roundtable Event

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneur’s Academy (YEA!) will present their CEO Roundtable event at Salisbury University onWednesday, March 1 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.  This event will showcase CEO’s, business owners and community leaders.  In this panel, leaders will discuss their career paths, relay advice for young entrepreneurs and answer questions from the audience.

The CEO Roundtable will be hosted in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business Auditorium at Salisbury University. Admission for the event is free and open to the public.

The panel will feature local leaders: Bradley Gillis, Principal at Devreco, Robbie Tarpley-Raffish, President of a.s.a.p.r. integrated marketing, Sandy Fitzgerald-Angello, Vice President of Pohanka Automotive Group of Salisbury,  Kevin J. Hayes, Vice President of Avery Hall Insurance and RJ Batts, CEO of Picklehead LLC.  The moderator for the panel will be George Koste, Executive Director of Maryland Capital Enterprises.

The panelists will answer a wide range of questions from their biggest failures and successes to the importance of reputation to a business. The audience is invited to ask questions of the panelists.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)

The YEA! program hosted by the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce takes students between the ages of 11 and 18 through the process of starting and launching a real business or social movement over the course of an academic year. By the end of the class, students own and operate fully-formed and functioning businesses, which may be carried on after their graduation from the program. The YEA! program is hosted at the Wicomico Public Library’s Entrepreneur Center and will run through May. The 2017 class will be the 2nd YEA! class hosted by the Salisbury Chamber.
