On September 27, 2019, “Chamber of Commerce weather” greeted the players at the sold out 2019 Salisbury Area Chamber Golf Classic, held at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, MD.
Players enjoyed delicious breakfast sandwiches from Kellyn’s Kafe, courtesy of Gallagher Insurance to start the day. The traditional tournament kickoff, sponsored by WBOC, took place on the driving range with a 50/50 Ball Drop Raffle, where balls dropped by helicopter. Players purchased super mulligan packages that included three chances to win the 50/50 raffle if their ball fell closest to the pin. This year’s 50/50 raffle, won by Bill Pettit of Allen & Shariff, was graciously donated back to benefit the Wor-Wic Scholarship Fund.
The teams played a scramble format and were entertained on course by fifteen interactive hole sponsors offering snacks, drinks, and contests during the tournament.
The Tournament Champions in the gross division were the team from Pohanka Automotive Group. The Davis Abstracts team finished first in the net division.
