Salisbury, MD: January 18, 2019 is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury! This month’s event is hosted indoors only – so that means no artists and crafters outside on the street – but there is still tons to do and see inside! So bundle up, grab your friends, and head out for a night on the town!
3rd Friday will not be hosting artists outdoors again until April, but the Plaza will be beautifully lit and is still fun to stroll along as you head to indoor locations. Salisbury Wicomico Art Council, also known as SWAC, will be offering indoor space to host 3rd Friday vendors in their new location on Church Street next to St. Peters Church – so you can enjoy all the 3rd Friday fun all warm and cozy inside, with vendors, musical performances, kids crafts and general merriment! You can find SWAC’s new location by looking for the historic brick building titled “City Hall” – as the building once served as the Salisbury’s City Hall and the Fire House, originally built in 1896.
Art lovers, be sure to stop by Salisbury Art Space for its 28th Annual Members Exhibition in the Main Gallery, with Jack Knight’s Amazing Grace Series in the Foyer Gallery and portraits and landscapes by Barbara Kern-Bush in the Robinson Gallery. Salisbury Art Space will be open late for 3rd Friday, with the gallery and gift shop open until 8 p.m. Salisbury Art Space is located on the lower level of the Salisbury University Gallery Building.
The downtown bars and restaurants are ready with live music for 3rd Friday! Roadie Joe’s Bar and Grill will have amazing food specials, plus the sweet serenades of Hannah Spelled Backwards from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Brew River will have live music by the Virginia Creek Band from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and a DJ late night. Mojo’s will have DJ SL and Market Street has an all new menu, with live music with DJ Vybe for the late-night crowd.
3rd Friday is a downtown economic development initiative and a project of the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District and The City of Salisbury. For More Information: 3rdFridaySby.com
