3rd Friday – November 18th – Holiday Bazaar

November 18th, 2016 the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. This month’s theme is Holiday Bazaar, which means it’s all about shopping! It’s our last 3rd Friday outdoors for the season, so it’s the last chance to stock up on locally made arts and crafts for the holiday gift-giving season!

On the Plaza, artists, crafters and non-profits will fill the streets with fine homemade treasures for everyone on your list! The main stage will feature live music by the Bay Brass Ensemble, and other holiday treats. Salisbury Art Space will be on the Plaza doing special holiday craft for kids, and be sure to stop by their public reception for the 2016 Affordable Art Show and the opening of their Holiday Bazaar, another great place to find locally crafted gifts!

On St. Peters Street, St. Peters Episcopal Church will host “Pray, Eat, Sing”! The night will begin at 5:30 with evening prayer, a perfect way to end the work week, followed by caroling in the courtyard at 5:30, 6:30 and 7 with their very own Peter’s Voice! The historic church will be open for tours, plus they will be serving homemade chili, cornbread, burgers & dogs hot off the grill all evening!

3rd Friday is always a shoppers’ paradise, with the downtown shops and boutiques open late with special events and sales! Cake Art will have hot chocolate cupcakes and Christmas cookies for sale, plus a Stella and Dot personal shopper on site to help with all your Christmas orders! Corsets and Cogs will be starting Black Friday early for Third Friday, with 10% off of everything in the store, including gift certificates and goods from Uncle John’s Soaps and Darkness and Daylight! Barefoot Baby Boutique has everything to deck out your little ones for the holidays, and just for 3rd Friday, bogo outfit or Christmas PJS, including Tea Collection, Hatley, Feather Baby, Kickee Pants, Winter Water Factory! Olde Towne Deli will be open late for 3rd Friday and you can shop a full line of Zockell Pottery right there in the deli! Plus starting Saturday, Olde Towne Deli will be open every Saturday from 8am to 3pm, so stop by for a preview of their breakfast menu!

The downtown bars and restaurants are ready for 3rd Friday! Headquarters Live is having a free show just for 3rd Friday with local rockers, The Permilla Project with doors opening at 6pm, and Permilla Project performing 7pm – 10pm, plus at 10pm don’t miss a drag show, Tasha Vain and the Divas Do Headquarters Live! Roadie Joe’s will have live music from Smooth and Remy for happy hour from 5:30 – 8:30 followed by the Naked Nation from 10 until two. Brew River will the Bonedaddys from 7-11, plus its Country Night at 10pm, with a mechanical bull and the Chris Young Concert After Party with DJ Outlaw. Market Street will have DJ Juan late night and Mojo’s will have local rockers EastWood!

Downtown Trolley service will start earlier just for 3rd Friday, at 5 PM in front of the Academic Commons Building at SU and will run until 7 PM. Service will resume later that night at 9 PM and run until 2 AM. Boarding is FREE for SU students with gull card or $1 per boarding and will bring you from Salisbury University and surrounding areas to Downtown’s 3rd Friday festivities.
