Chesapeake Health Care dentists, hygienists, staff, and dental residents were among hundreds of oral health professionals who volunteered their services to more than 1,100 veterans and residents of the Eastern Shore at the Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy event at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center on March 9-11, 2017. They worked more than 12 hours each day, providing dental services including fillings, extractions, and dental cleanings – all completely free of charge.
More than 100 million people in the United States are without dental insurance. On the Eastern Shore there are thousands of adults that don’t receive even the most basic dental care. We are proud of our staff who represented Chesapeake Health Care in providing much needed dental care to members in our community at this event.
