Scholarship application deadline is Nov. 1
SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico Youth Basketball League returns for its second season this winter, and registration is open now.
The Wicomico County Recreation & Parks league is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade, with four divisions offered: Division I for kindergarten and first grade, Division II for second and third grade, Division III for fourth and fifth grade and Division IV for sixth through eighth grade.
Registration is open through Nov. 15 or until the program fills. Division I is $40 per participant and includes a Jr. NBA shirt. Divisions II-IV are $55 per participant and includes a Jr. NBA jersey. Need-based scholarships are available and the application deadline is Nov. 1.
Games start Jan. 4 and will be played at Bennett Middle School and the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Midway Room. Players in Divisions II-IV must also attend an assessment day at Bennett Middle in November.
All league participants can also enjoy additional basketball activities through the All-Star Experience, which includes one weeklong pass to the Governor’s Challenge with VIP access and professional photography.
