SALISBURY, MD—Guest violinist Luis Fernandez joins the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra at Salisbury University (SSO) for its annual fall concert, “Montage,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 15, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Fernandez began violin studies through the El Sistema music program and the Latin-American Violin Academy. He holds a Master of Music from the University of Florida and is concertmaster of the Weidner Philharmonic Orchestra. He also is a performer with the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra and Oshkosh Symphony. Previously, he has performed with New World Symphony, Florida Grand Opera and Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Tickets are $25, $20 for senior citizens and $5 for students, available from SU’s online box office at http://www.salisbury.edu/performingarts. The concert also can be streamed online for $10.
