A group of Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce members, friends and family joined yesterday Reverend Howard F. Travers, Jr. and his wife Dana as they welcomed everyone to a ribbon cutting celebrating the 1st anniversary of New Lyfe Church and its new church location.
Reverend Howard and his wife Dana are both Salisbury natives. Pastor Howard, who leads this church, holds a MA in Theology and MDiv Degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Waxahachie, TX. Dana, serves as executive assistant, team leader for the café, hospitality, ushers, and nurture team.
Lyfe is spelled a little different because they believe that God offers a different and new exciting life through Jesus Christ. Their mission is to reach all Salisbury and Wicomico County with their message of discovering the love of God, the hope of Christ, and the power of God’s Holy Spirit through relationship, discipleship and worship.
The new location accommodates approximately 180 members, has a small hall for special events, a full kitchen, a kid’s gathering room, and a small conference room. Visit them every Sunday for brunch at 9am, followed by Worship at 10am. Sunday service is streamed live on their Facebook page. Study group meets on Wednesday at 6:30pm.
Attendees were delighted with light fare and beverages; and door prizes included 4 beautiful baskets.
