Dive deep into the world of advocacy during a new, nonpartisan workshop for community leaders and those hoping to work in organizing or policy spaces. The training will teach a advocacy skills common to e<orts to pass a bill, build a grassroots campaign, or create a narrative around an issue or budget e<ort.
The Institute for Public A<airs and Civic Engagement hosts the Issues-Based Advocacy Training at Salisbury University April 12-14, 2024. This event is open to anyone who wants to improve their advocacy or lobbying skills. Registration is $50, which includes all meals during the conference.
The training is led by a diverse group of professionals from national organizations with a deep background in organizing, advocacy, lobbying, and e<ective policy work. Guest speakers include Congressman John Sarbanes (MD) and political consultant George Rakis.
