Ravitch is 2024 SU Riall Lecturer Tuesday, October 8

Salisbury, MD – Dr. Diane Ravitch, nationally renowned education author, researcher and advocate, delivers this year’s E. Pauline Riall Lecture, “The Death and Life of the Great American School System,” at Salisbury University 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, in the Jackson Family Auditorium of Holloway Hall.

A reception and book signing follow.

Ravitch, a champion for public schools and education throughout the U.S., draws on more than 40 years of research and experience. Her time working in government shaped her approach to education and gave her a unique perspective, which she brings to her work.

A prolific writer and research professor of education at New York University, Ravitch has published more than 500 articles and reviews for scholarly and popular publications. Her blog is one of the primary destinations for American educators, which has received more than tens of millions of views since 2012.
