Wraparound Maryland Hosts November Business After Hours

store with christmas trees and gifts for sale

The SACC and its members started their Christmas shopping a little bit early this year as we celebrated our November Business After Hours at the ReWrap and More Liquidation Store in Fruitland on November 15, 2024.

Wraparound Maryland, who operates all ReWrap stores, hosted a one-of-a-kind, super fun Business After Hours networking event where guests enjoyed of a variety of delicious appetizers catered by chamber member Memorable Milestone Moments, beverages, live music, while having the opportunity to tour and shop at the ReWrap liquidation store!

Kim Cooke, Executive Director for Wraparound, MD, welcomed the group and shared that    Wraparound started in 2008 by working specifically with kids with lots of needs that were about to be place into some type of residential or locked facility.  They have grown and now cover Baltimore City, Baltimore County, all the Eastern Shore and all Delaware.

Cooke shared that “We do a lot of work with the homeless, food insecurity, help with people utilities, kids that need uniforms, and so much more.  Whatever it takes to break the barrier to help people to be happy and achieve their goals, we are there.   About a year and a half ago we started our first ReWrap store in Princess Ann.  We were finding people places to live and then had to go out and buy beds, household items, etc. to help get settled.   So, I thought it would be a great idea to start a thrift store and see if we can get the community to support that.  Then we thought about opening a liquidation store (this store) which would allow us to get more money to help support our mission. This store has been open for about 10 weeks, and everyone that has visited us has loved it.  We have new merchandise every day.   We for the community at large to stop by and shop and help us by following in us in social media to help spread the word”.

Wraparound, MD provides mental health services to youth, adults, and families in our communities.  They provide targeted case management, psychiatric and vocational rehabilitation, as well as supported employment services for all program participants.  All proceeds from their ReWrap stores are used to support their mission.

Stop by the ReWrap store located at 206-3 N Fruitland Blvd in Fruitland, MD or 12123 Somerset Ave, Princess Anne, MD and you will be surprised at the great variety of merchandise your will find (and at GREAT prices).
