Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce proudly co-hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 25, 2025, to officially welcome The Mill of Salisbury to its membership and celebrate their almost 1-year anniversary of dedicated service to Maryland’s Eastern Shore community.
Formerly known as Farmers & Planters Too, The Mill of Salisbury is part of The Mill, a trusted agricultural retail company since 1957 with seven locations across Maryland and one in Pennsylvania. Known for its commitment to quality and community, The Mill provides a wide range of products and services for lawn, garden, equine, pet, wild birds, livestock, along with expert agronomy support and delivery throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The event was attended by local leaders, Chamber members, and community supporters, all greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by Owner Nathan Holloway, General Manager Jessica Flores, and their exceptional team. The celebration highlighted the values and vision behind this family-owned business, included light food fares, and door prizes that included gift cards to use at the store.
Holloway, a third-generation farmer, shared his passion for community connection: “We are deeply rooted in farm, home, garden, lawn, horse, and livestock care—and what truly drives us is connection: with our communities, with our customers. Our mission is simple: to meet the needs of our customers and guide them however we can. We’re incredibly fortunate to have an amazing team here in Salisbury—they hold everything together!”
He also revealed a lesser-known aspect of the Salisbury location: “A big part of our vision for the Eastern Shore, is our warehouse here, which serves as a major distribution hub. We deliver feed, grass seed, fertilizer, bird food—you name it— from New Jersey all the way down to the Bay Bridge Tunnel.”
Jessica emphasized “We are here to make that personal connection. We want to know your name when you walk in.” She also spotlighted a favorite feature among customers—the onsite pet grooming salon. “We love seeing clients take advantage of our grooming services, whether by appointment or through our self-wash option.”
