
On Thursday, October 23, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Wicomico Recreation & Parks and Tourism, presented the 2025 Chamber and Tourism Awards luncheon at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland.
Over two-hundred attendees enjoyed a delectable luncheon followed by the awards ceremony. Zach Evans, SACC Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors, was the event master of ceremonies.
Tourism award recognitions included Wicomico County Tourism’s Person of the Year awardee, Bryan Ashby, Wicomico County Public Schools. The Tourism Hospitality Award was presented to Patty Shea, Marriott Hotels. Tourism Business of the Year was presented to Pohanka Automotive Group of Salisbury, and the Wicomico County Tourism Partner of the Year was awarded to the Middle-Atlantic Wrestling Association, accepted by Wade and Nancy Winemiller.
The SACC awards were next in the program, and the Chamber Volunteer of the Year was presented to David Livingston with Livingston Wealth Management.
This year’s awards event featured two Ambassadors receiving the Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year recognition – Journey Smith-Wilson and Corey Boerner received the award.
The Chamber Small Business of the Year winner was We are Limitless Studios. Medium Business of the Year went to Delmarva Veteran Builders, and the Large Business of the Year recognition went to Hebron Savings Bank.
The Business Professional of the Year awardee was Chris Bitters of the Delmarva Shorebirds.
The Chamber Environmental Service award was presented to Nautilus Solar, and the Agriculture Ambassador of the Year was awarded to Michelle Wright.
The Chamber Non-Profit of the Year was Coastal Hospice and New Business of the Year was presented to Tidal Roots.
The final recognition of the afternoon was the Chamber Hall of Fame induction. Dr. Christy Weer, Dean of the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, spoke at the induction ceremony for David Ryan, Executive Director of the Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development. Dave was recognized for his dedication to the growth in the economy of Wicomico County. Dave joins an illustrious roster of Hall of Fame inductees dating back to 1949.
