Attorney General Anthony Brown Honors Veterans at UMES

Maryland Attorney General and United States Army Ret. Colonel, Anthony Brown, served as the distinguished guest speaker at the annual “Salute to our Veterans” Gala on November 13, 2025, at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES).

The event, co-sponsored by UMES and the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC), aimed to honor military service members and raise funds for the Silver Star Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships to veterans and their dependents at UMES.

The evening featured champagne toasts to all United States Military service branches, led by United States Army Reserve Major Jake Day.

Major Day also serves as Maryland Secretary of the Department of Housing and Community Development.

This event is held annually in partnership with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce.
