It was a gorgeous afternoon on Wednesday, May 6 when State dignitaries, Chamber members and many entrepreneurs, cut the ribbon for Maryland Capital Enterprise’s Women’s Business Center (WBC). In town to support WBC were SBA Regional Administrator Natalia Olson-Urtecho, District Dir. Stephen Umberger and Lead Lender Relations Specialist, Ed Knox. MCE Women’s Business Center is designed to assist businesswomen in starting and expanding small businesses on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Anne Arundel County. The Women’s Business Center operates to assist women entrepreneurs to succeed. It offers training, consulting, counseling, one-on-one mentoring, and micro- and small business loans to women entrepreneurs from both center locations in Salisbury and Baltimore. Attendees met the staff and toured their facility after the cutting.
